listening to cole porter while working on a buttery silk charmeuse wedding dress from 1921 made me feel like 'midnight in paris'--i'm sorry, i'm obsessed. it also made me think, 'why am i not taking photos of this?!' so, the good news is that next week i am bringing my camera to lacis to document my restoration work...the bad news is that you have to wait a week to see the gorgeous dresses i get to fix.

in other news, i'm learning a little bit of crochet lace...it's pretty wonky so far, but i like this pattern because it's worked in rounds to form a square...it'd be fun to insert it into some clothing...
