i have reluctantly come back from a super relaxing weekend in lake tahoe. i had heard differing opinions on what tahoe (south lake tahoe, in particular) was like...beautiful scenery, too many tourists, too busy, etc. since it was my first time there, i didn't quite know what to expect. but we were lucky to stay in a cabin that was just far enough away from everything to feel secluded. we cooked our meals, played guitar, relaxed in the hot tub and hiked around in the woods behind the cabin. we also kayaked and went to a casino! AND we weren't attacked by bears...mosquitos, yes...bears, no. i'd go back...
